I have noticed a lot of UA-cam channels making very similar statements. It sounds a lot like a propaganda campaign. You need to tell the other side of the story because everyone agrees that American legacy auto is way behind in innovation, just like Chinese car companies were with gas cars. The Chinese government 50/50 rules required foreign auto manufactures to share their wealth and technology to improve Chinese car companies. If China wants to compete in America, they need to follow the same rules that American car companies have had to follow in China. "Since 1994, China has required foreign automakers to form a 50:50 joint venture with one of its local carmakers to enter the Chinese new car market. That requirement meant outside carmakers were required to tie up investment in China. At the same time, they shared profits and technology with their Chinese partners." If China wants to sell cars in the US, they need to share their profits and technology with US car companies. Capitalism only works on a level playing field. Tesla was the number one selling car in the world with a proven record of innovating. The US government should be helping Tesla just like the Chinese government helps BYD. Allow Tesla and BYD to open a joint 50/50 battery company in the US where BYD is required to share their IP with Tesla.
